On Earth Day, Miami-Dade County released the Climate Action Strategy draft report and 2021 Biscayne Bay Report Card, important efforts to address our community’s environment and future.
The Climate Action Strategy is a communitywide plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions, create jobs, improve health and make life better. The strategy sets target goals and actions to reduce our carbon footprint and improve our air and water quality to in turn improve our way of life and public health.
The focus is on three key focus areas:
- Energy & Buildings
- Land Use & Transportation
- Water & Waste
Residents and the general public can submit feedback by emailing [email protected]. More feedback opportunities will soon be available.
The Biscayne Bay Report Card, part of the Biscayne Bay health and recovery website, presents an in-depth look at the ecological health of the bay. The map-based report card depicts data from water quality tests and evaluates the condition of Biscayne Bay at multiple points.
