Miami-Dade County recently received 143 Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo), recognizing 11 County departments across several program categories, including Best in Class recognition to the Miami-Dade Public Library System for its submission, “Creating Autism Friendly Spaces at the Library.” The awards highlight outstanding County government programs and services and exemplify the County’s commitment to providing innovative solutions for our residents.
The following departments were awarded NACo Achievement Awards:
- Communications and Customer Experience Department – 6 awards
- Cultural Affairs Department – 2 awards
- Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources – 7 awards
- Department of Transportation and Public Works – 1 award
- Information Technology Department – 36 awards
- Juvenile Services Department – 1 award
- Miami-Dade Public Library System – 77 awards
- Office of Management and Budget – 2 awards
- Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department – 7 awards
- PortMiami – 1 award
- Strategic Procurement Department – 2 awards
- Water and Sewer Department – 1 award
