Join the Independent Civilian Panel

The Miami-Dade County Independent Civilian Panel (ICP) is the impartial entity created to conduct independent investigations and review and hold public hearings concerning complaints or grievances made against sworn officers of the Miami-Dade Police Department. The ICP relies on civilian volunteers to serve as panel members, each of whom is a qualified elector of Miami-Dade County and possesses a reputation for civic pride, integrity, responsibility and has demonstrated an active interest in public affairs and service.

  • Do you know someone in your organization that really cares about improving the relationship between police and vulnerable communities?
  • Do you know someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and be part of digging for the truth and upholding justice and fairness?

If this sounds like you or someone you know, the ICP has vacancies! Each Miami-Dade County Commissioner has the right to appoint a person for their district and we encourage those who are interested in serving as panel members to contact the County Commissioners listed below to apply for a nomination.
The ICP has the following vacancies in Commission Districts: 2, 6, and 7.

If you are interested in serving as a panel member, email the following Commission Districts.

If you have any questions or services provided from the ICP, email [email protected].
