West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James presented a tribute to Jones Foster in recognition of its centennial anniversary at a January 8 city commission meeting.
Accepting on behalf of Jones Foster were Chair Larry B. Alexander and Vice Chair Scott G. Hawkins.
“Jones Foster’s deep roots in the City of West Palm extend back to the original land boom of the 1920s and we are proud to have worked alongside generations of visionary leaders who have built this city into a prosperous and world-class destination,” Alexander said. “We are honored by this recognition from Mayor James, and with gratitude accept the tribute on behalf of our current team of attorneys and our distinguished predecessors who pursued not only legal excellence but leadership and community advocacy, serving as role models and mentors for the next generation.”
The firm’s involvement with the City of West Palm Beach goes beyond legal services to a century-long culture of leadership in local nonprofits. The firm’s attorneys have served as presidents and founding board members of the Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach and its Foundation, HomeSafe, Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches, United Way of Palm Beach County, as well as the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. They continue to serve on the board of numerous charitable organizations, nonprofits, and foundations, in addition to supporting higher education opportunities and the development of the city and county through leadership positions with Palm Beach Atlantic University, the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, and the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.
