The Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) is a 15-member volunteer Trust that plays an essential role in overseeing how proceeds from the half-penny transportation surtax are invested in local transit projects, such as the expansion of transit services, improving bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, enhancing first-last mile connections and more.
As a CITT volunteer member, you will oversee the investment of proceeds from the half-penny transportation surtax in local transit projects. You must be a registered voter with a strong reputation for civic involvement and an interest or experience in transportation issues.
A nominating committee will review applications. Transportation Trust members must not have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract with the County or in any corporation, partnership, or other entity that has a contract with the County.
The Transportation Trust has vacancies for districts 9, 10 and 12.
Apply today and help drive positive change in our County’s transportation system.
