
The Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) is offering scholarships for qualifying students.
Community Advisory Committees (CACs) Scholarships:
- 16 $2,500 awards
- Candidates must be between the ages of 16-25
- Canidates must be enrolled in a college or vocational institution or attending a college or vocational institution this fall
- Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA average
- Applicants must reside within the boundaries of any of the sixteen target areas represented by a CAC
- Applicants must have an annual household income that does not exceed 200% of the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Poverty Income Guidelines
Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) Scholarships:
- 50 $1,500 college scholarships
- Candidates must be between 16-25
- Canidadtes must be enrolled in or attending a college or vocational institution in the fall with a minimum 2.0 GPA average
- Applicants must also reside in Miami-Dade County
- Other requirements include financial circumstances and submission of an essay
