Miami-Dade County offices, courts, libraries and the Pet Adoption and Protection Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Observed every year on the first Monday in September, Labor Day recognizes the many contributions workers have made to U.S. strength, prosperity, and well-being.

- The Deering Estate will offer $8 general admission throughout the Labor Day Weekend: Saturday, Aug.30, Sunday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 1. Visitors can purchase tickets to the Deering Estate online.
