Florida judge blasts murder, dismemberment suspect's 'total lack of concern for human life'

During a hearing Wednesday, Hillsborough County Judge Catherine Catlin denied bond for the Lutz man accused of killing and dismembering a Pennsylvania woman and throwing her body parts in McKay Bay near downtown Tampa.

Judge Catlin said Robert Kessler has a “complete disregard for human life” and said releasing him on bond with an ankle GPS monitor “would not protect anybody from this individual. This was a heinous act committed in his home where his child resides. In fact, in his child’s bedroom. It’s a total, total lack of concern for human life.”
