There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.

TO LEAD CHILDREN’S SAFETY WALK,
OCTOBER 2ND, 2012

Miami-Dade County School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman will lead students, teachers, parents, concerned citizens, and community leaders in “Walk Our Children to School Day” activities beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Palm Lakes Elementary School, located at 7450 W. 16th Avenue, Hialeah, FL 33014

The international program increases the awareness of safe walking skills, safe routes to school for students and parents, as well as walking as an exercise that promotes good health and physical fitness. Advisory: September 29 Rally in Plantation
Against Amendment 8
South Floridians to stand together against misleadingly-named
 “Religious Freedom Amendment”

PLANTATION – A rally will be held in Plantation on Saturday, September 29 2012 in opposition to Amendment 8 on the Florida ballot, the misleadingly-named “Religious Freedom Amendment.”

Amendment 8 would remove the state’s 107-year-old constitutional protection against taxpayer funding of religious activities, creating a constitutional entitlement for any entity calling itself a religion to receive any government benefit.

On September 29th, citizens of South Florida will join together in support of the belief that religion can only truly be free when it is free of government entanglement.

Rally to Oppose Amendment 8
Saturday, September 29th 1:00pm

Free!  Body Mass Index Check
For Obese Children

(Ft. Lauderdale, FL) Is your child overweight? Has obesity changed your child’s behavior? Are they picked on more? Do they resist going to school because they are ashamed of how they look? Abundant Life Health and Fitness Center offers Saturday Pride Building Program For Kids, targeting obese children and their parents.

The effects of obesity spills over onto parents through shame, frustration and sometimes the helplessness of trying to modify a child’s eating habits both at home and school. There is no doubt, unless the parent steps up to take control, the child will go on wallowing in this world, trapped in the fat of their body leading to more health problems.
