Saint Lucia’s Bay Gardens Resorts
Supports Caribbean Week 2011

CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA – June 7, 2011 Bay Gardens Resorts, the locally owned Saint Lucia resort group located in the heart of Rodney Bay, is excited to announce its sponsorship of the inaugural CaribbeanTales New York Film Showcase on June 11 at the Spike Lee Screening Room at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus. Two films will be screened at the event, including “Calypso Dreams,” which explores the roots of calypso music, and “Fire in Babylon,” an inspiring story of the West Indies Cricket Team.

The event will also feature a silent auction, where a five-night stay for two at the four-star Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa, located on the renowned Reduit Beach and featuring waterfront accommodations, will be auctioned off. The prize will include daily complimentary breakfast at the Hi Tide beachside restaurant. The property provides travelers a relaxing retreat, just steps from the popular Rodney Bay Village offering shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

“We’re thrilled to show our continued support for Caribbean Week by sponsoring this year’s CaribbeanTales New York Film Showcase,” said Joyce Destang, Bay Gardens Resorts’ Managing Director. “We are particularly excited for the screening of ‘Fire in Babylon,’ as Bay Gardens Resorts is the home of the West Indies Cricket Team whenever they visit Saint Lucia.”

The CaribbeanTales New York Film Showcase is free and open to the public, and begins at 12 p.m. on June 11. To RSVP, visit http://www.caribbeanweekny.com
