Pastor Marvin Sapp, whose hit single Never Would Have Made It topped the charts for 43 weeks, is slated to open the Music Fest at 2 p.m. Sapp is the Founder and Senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

"Marvin Sapp will finally make it to Broward County," said Brother Colin Forbes, Director of Ministry and Productions for Gospel in the SON Outreach and founder of Class Act Management Group Inc., the organizers. Forbes said Sapp has never performed live in Broward.

Closing the nondenominational event is Double Platinum achiever Fred Hammond, who has not come to South Florida for many years. His smash hit single, Dwelling Place, from the album "Living in the Word," provides inspiration to fans worldwide.

"Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium will be the 'Dwelling Place'"when Hammond graces the stage June 9th," Forbes said.

Few gospel artists can boast of the consistency of sales, radio airplay and concert appearances that Hammond has achieved over his nearly 30-year career. A mainstay on Billboard's Gospel Chart top 10, the solo artist has sold more than 7 million albums. He has received and been nominated for numerous awards including the Grammy, BET, NAACP, Image, Stellar, Dove, and GMWA Excellence Awards. Hammond is the architect of the Urban Praise and Worship genre, which grew out of African American churches. As CEO of Face to Face Productions and the FHammond Music Label, Hammond has served as producer on more than 80 album projects.

"I Feel Good and the Dwelling Place are destined hits and provide messages that South Florida will remember for a long time," said Dave Hammond of Fred Hammond Family Entertainment, and Fred's brother. "Fred Hammond Family Entertainment is excited to play South Florida, Saturday, June 9th."

The star-studded lineup is rounded out with the Christian Contemporary group JARS of Clay; Urban Gospel soloist Tye Tribbett; Christian hip-hop artist KJ52; Caribbean Hall of Famer and Reggae Gospel singer Carlene Davis; UnmasKd, a local five-piece Christian Contemporary Rock Band; and many others.
