Plantation, FL - (May 14, 2012) - Gospel in the SON Outreach today
announced the official line up of artists who will perform during
its 12-hour Music Fest and Family Fun Day, Saturday, June 9th, 2012
at the Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium.
Pastor Marvin Sapp, whose hit single Never Would Have Made It topped
the charts for 43 weeks, is slated to open the Music Fest at 2 p.m.
Sapp is the Founder and Senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center
Church, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
"Marvin Sapp will finally make it to Broward County," said Brother
Colin Forbes, Director of Ministry and Productions for Gospel in the
SON Outreach and founder of Class Act Management Group Inc., the
organizers. Forbes said Sapp has never performed live in Broward.
Closing the nondenominational event is Double Platinum achiever Fred
Hammond, who has not come to South Florida for many years. Hammond's
new album, titled "God, Love & Romance" went on sale in January and
already has a breakout hit single, I Feel Good. His smash hit
single, Dwelling Place, from the album "Living in the Word,"
provides inspiration to fans worldwide.
"Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium will be the 'Dwelling
Place'"when Hammond graces the stage June 9th," Forbes said.
Few gospel artists can boast of the consistency of sales, radio
airplay and concert appearances that Hammond has achieved over his
nearly 30-year career. A mainstay on Billboard's Gospel Chart top
10, the solo artist has sold more than 7 million albums. He has
received and been nominated for numerous awards including the
Grammy, BET, NAACP, Image, Stellar, Dove, and GMWA Excellence
Awards. Hammond is the architect of the Urban Praise and Worship
genre, which grew out of African American churches. As CEO of Face
to Face Productions and the FHammond Music Label, Hammond has served
as producer on more than 80 album projects.

Gospel singer Carlene Davis; UnmasKd, a local five-piece Christian

Community organizations such as Father Focus will present workshops,
Voter Registration, and a Health Fair. Gates open at 10 a.m.
