MIAMI – South Florida’s Caribbean Community is invited to visit popular North Miami and Fort Lauderdale Caribbean restaurants Friday, August 10 and Saturday, August 11 in support of President Obama’s re-election campaign. Caribbean Americans will be able to register to vote, update their registration information, and learn about how they can get involved with the President’s grassroots campaign in South Florida.
The choice in this election is clear. But it’s important to make your voice heard and get involved. One person has the power to impact this election just by talking to friends and neighbors at church, the grocery store or at the bus stop about the importance of voting. There are now nine weeks left before the voter registration deadline.
Obama supporters are encouraged to come out and visit local Jamaican, Haitian, Trinidadian and Bahamian businesses with friends and family to meet fellow Caribbeans and organize to help re-elect President Obama in November. Organizing for America-Florida volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and share information on how to get involved with the campaign.
